The Russian 2S7 SPG

The 2S7 is the largest SPG in the world and developed from a new chassis & hull. It has a forward two man armoured cab (driver and commander), 840hp diesel engine behind this and the main gun is mounted at the rear.

The remaining 5 man crew travel with spare rounds in an ammunition supply vehicle.

A stabilizing blade is lowered in to the ground, which is located at the rear of the vehicle, as is a loading assist device. The vehicle fires a projectile (which can include WMD warheads) and charge, reaching a range of 37.5km and 47km if rocket assisted. The 203mm main gun is elevated up to +60 degrees. It can be traversed 15 degrees left or right.
