As a result, I wanted to make this clear to him. So, I posted this:

Me: "The Challenger 2 which was rendered destroyed by the HESH round, was only destroyed due to the fact the Commander's hatch was open. As a result, the ammunition the Challenger possessed would of been sunjected to the hot metal fragments of the HESH. I wish to make this clear, as your vid could of given anyone the impression the CR2 was penetrated by a HESH."

This was his reply: "If that were the case, the turret wouldn't have been pushed-off, which is clearly lying *next to* the chassis --- not on top of it.
This can only mean that a round struck it in the side (which would make the "open hatch" theory is bogus, because Challenger IIs don't have hatches on their SIDES), or all of the ammunition exploded, in which case the whole crew would be liquified (they weren't, and 2 survived).

This can only mean that a single HESH round blew off the turret."

After his reply I questioned where he had obtained his sources from, however he hasn't replied.

So, are his sources true or not?

Also concerning the other CR2 which resulted in its ERA armour being penetrated, (I know I'm going to get punished for this) but did it have Dorchester armour under it?

Many thanks, The Adeptus Mechanicus.]]>

I have heard about proximity Missiles yet I possess no information about how effective they are, could anyone care to enlighten me? Just so we're clear the Aircraft vs. Tank debate is for fun. The REAL purpose of this thread is to discuss the defences Tanks possess which counter Aircrafts.

Many thanks.]]>

The possibility of storing more ammo then you would a 120mm, having just as much accuracy given that the FCS and Ballistic computer is upgraded to meet the demands of the modern battlefield and communications. Also given the type of bore i.e smoothbore or rifled. Having a platform stable enough to take the shock of firing aswell as firing on the move. Having integrated armour like that of the FV432/434 Mk3 Bulldogs except its not ERA, it should utilize the ceramics of the tank its on and also to protect the weak points in that armour with stand-off armour such as bar armour.]]>

This is the Truth .....

Note the dates of the above

The Greek Goverment released

FOR PRESS ON THE MARKET 400 CHARIOT BATTLE 10-10-2011 link

The reports are not true. There is no market, or are thinking about supply 400 tanks, as illustrating these publications, or new charges to the state budget. Categorical denial: not a thing exists.

So as far as the Greek Government are concerned its not happening despite the USA offer, which was actually 400 M1A1's that have not been through AIM nor have DU armour and offered for free, which has been viewed by many as an attempt to creat a burden that Greece would have to buy spares, rounds and repairs from the USA. ]]>
